AUS to UK back to AUS

Hi guys,

First time poster here. I am Australian citizen, and I have been offered a medicine course in the UK. I'm planning to go to the UK and complete FY1. After that I hope to come back to Australia through the Competent Authority Pathway and get a job in Australia. I just wanted to know how realistic it would be for me to get a job through this pathway, Also would being an Australian citizen increase my chances.

Any help would be appreciated.
