I have given it in september 2009 but failed the SAQ..

i am new to the site.....wanted to know about the syllabus and study material for theory part....can i prepare for theory from my college books only coz someone asked me to go through mine books completely....would that be enough?are there any important topics that i should study or should go through whole book? this is the main thing that confuses me every time ...so can you just guide me bout this? i will be really thankful.

I don't know ... I'd rather stay away from Dentalsupply.
They call themselves a company, but yet they have no website, the only way to communicate with them is by e-mail ...

Sounds fishy ... I wouldn't pay hundreds of $ to quite "anonymous"/phantom company ...

yes adc has made a rule that oet has to be cleared in one sitting. oet is not difficult. but needs prepration.examiners are fine.i cleared oet in one attempt in august2009. if u need help mail to [email protected]

This is the 1st time i have registered to this forum and seriously it is big help. I read all the comments posted above and the names of the books have jumbled up between two people. Kindly paste the names of the books in one single entry so that i can buy them, as i am sitting in the preliminary exam in sept 2010 take. i have to go to austrailia a month prior to the exam. I am an orthodontist too. If you are willing to practise dentistry in Australia, firstly you need to pass OET and ADC exams 1 and 2. I am planning to take the OET in October.

Nice effort Vinky. I'm studying for the preliminary exam then i'm gonna study for the OET and sit the OET then the preliminary exam right after the OET results. Anyone can give me an advice regarding this sequence i'm going to take ? I already nearly finished reading "Clinical problem solving in dentistry" + "Oxford handbook of clinical dentistry" and i'm gonna shift to "therapeutic guidelines" now !
Also, i need to know if the final clinical exam can be passed from the 1st trial or not ? coz i heard it's nearly impossible to pass from the 1st time and that the succsess rate is very low !!

I'd take OET first ... and then take the time to study for the Preliminary.
