Initial steps towards the Rudd Governments proposed reform of the national health system has begun. The country's first two super GP clinics have opened and, by next week the services of nurse practitioners will be eligible to Medicare. This team medical approach will eventually succeed the family GP practice. For many GP's this is a welcome change, however there is wide spread frustration with the government for failing to make clear how these changes will take place.
