i was just wondering what the average age of a first year dental student is?
is 26 too old?
I heard 24 is average, so 26 is not too old at all. It also depends on the number of people in the class.
i'm 30 and starting in the fall
A friend of mine is 32 and is joining BU this fall-Advanced standing !!
its good to know that age does not matter!!!
I'll be 34 when I start this Fall! I've heard of first year students in their forties!!
I'll be applying this summer for the 2003 entering class. That will put me close to 29 when I actually start dental school (providing that I get accepted).
I think that it's great to have a wide age range in your dental school class. The older students provide a mature insight into life experience for the younger ones, and the younger students keep us older guys young while we are turning gray in dental school.
I'm 26 too Docie, and will be starting this fall...too old?....pleeease....it's called 'life experience'...
