i was just wondering what the average age of a first year dental student is?
is 26 too old?

I heard 24 is average, so 26 is not too old at all. It also depends on the number of people in the class.

i'm 30 and starting in the fall

A friend of mine is 32 and is joining BU this fall-Advanced standing !!

its good to know that age does not matter!!!

I'll be 34 when I start this Fall! I've heard of first year students in their forties!!

I'll be applying this summer for the 2003 entering class. That will put me close to 29 when I actually start dental school (providing that I get accepted). :p

I think that it's great to have a wide age range in your dental school class. The older students provide a mature insight into life experience for the younger ones, and the younger students keep us older guys young while we are turning gray in dental school. :D

I'm 26 too Docie, and will be starting this fall...too old?....pleeease....it's called 'life experience'... :D
