Average and Range of MCATs and GPA at Schools?

So, I'm sitting here wondering my chances of getting in to one of the three Osteopathic Schools I applied to. Someone in a different thread said that schools put your file in order of MCAT. So, I thought I had a pretty comfortable score, but haven't heard from the specific school. So, it got me thinking.
I know there are stats on average MCATs and GPAs at schools. But what are the spreads and ranges. I think the preconception by most is that most 40 MCAT and/or 4.0 GPA go to Allopathic, but I'd bet there are some Osteopathic Students that do well. I thought it'd be interesting to pool our knowledge (hopefully not too much that is just gossip). Let's list the school and keep a record of the highest and lowest GPA and MCAT at each school. I know there are tons of other factors... this is for amusement and curiousity.

I think if you look at the post "All class 2007 DO acceptees, your stats and the school accepted" you get a pretty good idea of what the stats are of people entering next fall. I know thats not what you are looking for and I know you aren't looking for definitive stat guidelines for getting into DO schools but the admissions process truly is 99% lucky/arbitrary and 1% making the grade.

I'm willing to bet my gpa/mcat is lower than most (I'm actually embarassed to post in the threat I mention above), yet with some (what I felt was) hard work on my essay's, good EC's and true "being myself" at the interviews, I was able to get two acceptances.

If medical school is really your life's passion, stats won't be the thing stopping you...

Let's not forget one HUGE factor in determining acceptance: How early one applies. Seriously, if you apply early (e.g., July 1st) and your application is 100% complete (e.g., not re-taking the MCAT), then your chance for acceptance is excellent providing that you are moderately articulate at your interview and don't have a felony record.

I'd still be interesting in numbers if anyone knows of people at schools with abnormally high or low.

I think that this is what you are looking for check out the website below. These numbers are not exactly correct. I am not sure what year they are from but they are close.

Also, a lot of the school post their individual class stats on their site. Again a lot of the stats here do not match individual sites but for the most part they are very close.

the only school not on that list is TUCOM which actually ranks highest among DO schools for MCAT and GPA with a 27 or 9.0 and a 3.5 on gpa.

That was interesting. I have a feeling that was from a few years ago. It wasn't exactly what I had in mind, but gave me an idea I guess. I posted that thread at 1:30am or something after about 6 hours of studying and about 11 hours total yesterday, so yeah.... unless someone knows a bunch of them, might as well lets this thread fall to the bottom of the forum. On a better note, I need to get a 50% on my final to get an A in my Physics 🙂

PCOM is about a 3.3, 24...at least according to #s on the website from 2 years ago.

But I have a feeling that its a bit higher now.

One recent interviewee told me that the current accepted GPA was 3.5+
