I can't remember if they said 8 or 10 weeks. I interviewed Dec. 8. That's 1 weeks exactly. OH GOD, will the make me wait 14?? I'm dying. Applying to 5 schools only was a bad idea, despite all the right considerations. Do you guys think they factor in such things as "the holidays" into that 10 week estimate? You think they would, as most decisions probably weren't made prior. ASLKdj asLKDjaslfjkasd.

Someone calm me down. Does anyone need another neurotic premed for an online buddy? My friends are becoming more intolerant.

I must say, your list of schools is pretty ballsy, but I think it's good to shoot for what you want, rather than clogging up the offices of lots of schools you'd never want to go to. As for UCSF, I interviewed on Dec. 1st and haven't heard yet either. My pre-med advisor says that in his experience, this is little rhyme or reason to the response time between interview and decision from UCSF. So, no news is good news, because it means you're not rejected, and a lot of people come off the waitlist, so hang in there! That's what I'm doing too.

i interviewed nov 22, so i'm defintiely hoping that they aren't behind with looking at applications.

I interviewed the 29th (or whatever was the mon after Thanksgiving) and I was accepted around the 15th of January. It seems as is they send out acceptances on the 15th of the month (there was a long thread about this). I was told that there is a lot of factors regarding when you hear that aren't dependant on when you interview... for example your interviewers must be physically present at the meeting when they make the decision, etc so I shouldn't worry if it was late spring before I heard.

I'm sorry to hear that. 🙁 Do you mind me asking when and how you found out?

10 minutes ago and by snail mail. i sent them an update email earlier this month too...

Sorry, Kirexhana! Hang in there. But... does this mean they've started to send post-interview decisions that aren't only acceptances? And not adhering to the 15th-of-the-month rule? Yikes....!!
