Hi all,
Just a question about applying through VSAS: It was recommended at my school (and I have seen it here) that it may be a good idea to email the clerkship coordinator with a statement of interest to touch base after submitting an app through VSAS. People are starting to apply to so many that some sites are overwhelmed with apps. Is this really a good thing to do right away? If everyone did it, I would think sites would become even more overwhelmed. There is a particular site in another region that I am heavily interested in, but my initial plan was to submit my VSAS app the second they were open. Is this enough?

Also, what are people writing in the short bio section? A few sentences? A "why EM" personal statement? Nothing?

Thanks and good luck to everyone!
