Good article but honestly, the whistleblower suit was basically suing the concept of fee for service. Anyone could make that suit against any physician in the US. It's how we are currently paid. If they want to change it then sue the insurance companies, hospitals and CMS. Idiots

Why not tie some sort of functional outcome based measure to the fusion fee for service? Incentivize good patient selection.
