Hey all, I was thinking about emailing one of the schools that I have yet to hear from that is rolling admissions (deadline Dec 2). I applied early October (Oct 3) and have not gotten any responses from them, not even the "we've received your verified application." I have heard from the other campus of this university about receiving my verified app though but the other campus is not rolling admissions. Would emailing them to just check on the status be a bad idea? I don't want them to get any bad impressions about me for doing so or hurt my chances of getting invited to interview. Thanks

If you emailed (or called, which in my opinion is better) the school simply verifying that they received your application, I don't believe this would effect your chances at all. If you let them know that you are just making sure they received all of your materials and that you wanted to make sure you weren't missing anything that they needed they should be able to provide you with that information (and maybe help you feel better). I have had some schools that didn't verify that they were looking at my application but I later received interview emails from them(these schools were also rolling), every school does things differently.

You can contact them. I found out I was accepted in 1 of schools when I called them and asked about my application status.
