What are my chances of getting a health professions loan for dental school with a 3 year old bankruptcy record?
Anyone has info on this?
Thanks

I'm not sure of a direct answer, but it might depend on the circumstances surround the bankruptcy, and the type of bankruptcy filed for.

You could ask any credit union/bank about your chances of getting a loan, specifically Stafford loans.

Good luck, and let us know what you find out!

Your bankruptcy does not affect your federal loan as long as your bankruptcy is not on your past federal loans. You can still request your 38,000/year stafford loan. But the private loan is the one that you will have problem with. And even you might be able to take out private loans but then the interest might be kinda high. So in a nutshell federal goverment still does help you to get an education even if you have gone bankrupt.
