Hey -- so I've heard that you can bargain with med schools about your financial aid package, and have a few questions about this:

    a)does it work?

b)who do you talk to, who actually can say like, "Ohhhhh now I see, here's $xx,xxx to make this equal to the in-state tuition you'd pay at University of Blahbebloo"

c)do you do it in person, over the phone?

    d)success stories?

    I'm all ears.

Yes, I've heard this as well, and was hoping to find out who to talk to and how to approach the conversation.

I was also wondering about this...

I have a full tuition scholarship but am not too excited about the school. How would I go about asking the school that I am more interested in if they would be able to give me a scholarship?

You can try but I highly doubt you'll be successful. I certainly wasn't. The problem is that if you don't want to pay the full $55,000 to attend a certain school, there are ten people behind you who would give their right leg for the opportunity. It doesn't hurt to try but don't get your hopes up.
