Do we have to know all of this?
i think you should just know that these things exist... which is dna pol can recognize errors and correct them.
Given that there is a trend of more genetics on the MCAT, it might be a good idea to know your different type of mutations.
It would be given in a passage is my guess. Just look over it and you'll save yourself some time on the test not having to figure it out from a diagram.
