Could you share your experiences or opinions on this program? I have mixed feelings. Is it a good program for me if I am planning to go on a fellowship in the future?
Thanks!
Uterus 😕

I really don't know how to rank this program. Your help would be appreciated! 😕

i did an elective there so i can tell you what i thought. i think they're having a few problems there right now because some of the faculty left (i think all but one of the mfm faculty left). when i interviewed though they said that they were going to hire more mfm faculty. but all of the residents seem to be pretty happy and comfortable with their abilities to do whatever they wanted after graduation. i'm probably not going to rank them very high because i'm interested in doing an mfm fellowship and they just don't seem to have the faculty right now to support that. but, if i was interested in gyn onc or rei, then it might have been a different story. i hope that helps and of course, that's just my opinion. it wouldn't hurt to get a second opinion.

Thank you nymello! Do you have any idea why did the mfm faculty leave? I liked the program very much and I am interested in doing mfm in the future. When I interviewed I was told that all their graduates interested in going on to felloship match somewhere (even in MFM).

i think they left because they had problems with the new chairman and i think they only left this year. i'm sure you can match to an mfm fellowship even without the department and there are other well known faculty at baylor, but it does make it easier if you have an mfm department that is well known because they are more likely to be involved in ongoing research and have better connections. this is at least what i've been told; i could be wrong.

any coments on baylor university in dallas....???
