what BCMP

I mean the GPA that I got for all of the pre-requisite courses I have to take. Even though I will have taken less science than a science major obviously, I was wondering if they would place more weight on those courses since they are probably a better predictor of how well I would do in med school.

Most schools look closely at the BCMP as it is...hence why they divide it up on your AMCAS...but some schools weight stuff differently so get a copy of the MSAR and look at the admissions criteria for the schools you are interested in...some will provide a rank order of criteria like Iowa and I think the science GPA is the 2nd most important thing they consider...

If I am a non-scienc major, will an ad. comm. place more weight on my BCMP vs. my cumulative GPA?

Look, if yor science gpa is in the ball-park of a 3.6 then you're going to be competitive at pretty much anywhere you apply to in terms of gpa.
