Hey

For some schools a A- is considered a 4.0, but at other colleges a A- is not considered a 4.0 but like a 3.7.

So my questions is, When you do the whole grades thing with the AMACS and they calculate your BCPM GPA, is a A- to them a 4.0?

I'd hate to break this to you, but an A- is a 3.7. There are conversion factors listed on AMCAS for grading schemes.

But this all depends on the grading scale of each individual class, no? Some of my classes don't even use a and a-. They just use A, B+, B, B-, etc... So if it's turned into the school saying I made an A, it's a 4.0... right?

I would hate to have to think I need to make 95's to get a 4.0 in every class.

EDIT: It looks like an A- isn't necessarily a 3.7 as you say.

There seem to be 8 different grading system types and it all depends on the school you went to 🙂 phew!
