Being notified of an interview...

This may be a dumb question, but when people say they were notified via the "portal" of their invitation to an interview....what does that mean? Does it just show up under the school decisions tab, or what?

MWU has their own application portal that they use where applicants are required to fill out a supplementary app. Their portal seems to be updated with interview scheduling info before emails/phone calls are made so this is why everyone's saying "notified via portal". It's just specific to MWU so far

I saw where someone was invited to Kentucky though....and they don't have their own portal.
