Alright...so I was wondering if anybody had a favorite interview experience yet...and which medical school do you think hosted the best overall interview day? Also at the same time what has been your least favorite interview experience?

No one can beat University of Michigan.

FSU was one of the easiest, most relaxing, and enjoyable interviews. USF did a great job also (though it was a pretty long day). UVM was good, location (Burlington is an awesome city). UF was fine, not the most fun I've had at an interview but certainly not unenjoyable.

I havent had any negative experiences yet.

fsu without a doubt was really good!

i heard bad stories about albany

I really liked U Chicago-Pritzker and Cornell...was not so impressed by NYMC

U of Miami was a very good experience. My interviewer was great, they had provacative speakers at the beginning of the day, lunch was good.

ditto for NYMC. but i refuse to let that experience get in the way of how much i like the school -- who was your interviewer??

I thought Miami and Wake Forest both had great interview days. I was really dissapointed with Wayne State, you just waited around for your interview then had lunch and a tour. No presentation on the school or anything.

Ditto on Wayne... still enjoyed my weekend in detroit though... watched the tigers choke in the 12th the day before, also had I94 completely closed so my self-made detour took me thru some "interesting" neighborhoods.

I think I interviewed with you at UMiami (on the 6th if I am right...). Best of luck in your app process. Miami was a sweet interview. Gotta love hitting the beach after a long day in a suit!

Vandy was the absolute best. The food they give you is actually very good. Also, you don't have to figure out how to get anywhere. They escort you everywhere you need to go.

Morehouse was very good also, except my interview lasted for 1h 30 min!!! I was physically exhausted after that.

Why so long?

Does that school accept out of state students? I think your post is making me want to go to a nice place like that. nothing like partying up the weekend on the beach after a hard exam.

I've only been to 2 so far and both were pretty great--UC Irvine and Ohio State. Everyone was so nice and welcoming at both schools. Lunch kicked ass at Irvine.

University of Michigan plans a great day. All the other schools were very similar. UC Davis was by far the warmest, most welcoming though.

Pritzker is the absolute best! Of course I go there so I'm a tiny bit biased but honestly, if you all get an invite there, GO! It's an incredible school full of incredible people and we're all ready and willing to help you guys during the interview process :)

Yeah, they take a decent percent of out of staters. Don't have my MSAR at the moment, but I would guess around 30% or so. Just a warning, I think you need a 3.6 gpa OOS otherwise they will auto-reject.

A lot of students live on the beach, they say it isn't that expensive and the drive is only about 20 minutes. Pretty sweet if you ask me. Jackson Memorial is a sweet place for clinical exposure too. You should apply if you haven't already. Good times.

I vote for Texas Tech for best lunch.... felt like I was at a wedding (minus the champagne).

University of Michigan is sweet.
