We've got the Primal Pictures series (Interactive spine, interactive shoulder, etc...) on computers in the lab as another tool to use and it can be helpful. With these you can rotate the view and add/subtract muscle layers, as well as look a different views such as MRI sections to help get a feel for the 3D anatomy.
At least for me it definitely helped to see it in the the anatomy book, look at on the computer to get a feel for where it is exactly, and then see it on the bodies.
