Which in your opinion is the best CCM handbook for a long CCM rotation? I don't necessarily mean a pocket book like the green MGH book for IM which is great in comprehensiveness but bad for recollection of what you've read since it offers no explanations. I'm looking for a highly credible CCM book that also explains but is still a handbook, more or less.

Washington manual for ccm. Easy to read, nice algorithms, explains reasoning in decision making and explains pathophys but not mindnumbing like Marino.

New edition of Paul Marino just came out...probably one of the best books for CCM with good explanation and covers both basic and advance topics!

I never liked the ICU book by Marino. I never felt it was that clinically pertinent.

the patients are your primary learning tool. :bookworm:

aside from that, i like the icu book. not a fan of the washington manual.
