best laptop and/or tablet for med school?

I need to purchase a new laptop and/or tablet for med school and was wondering what you all recommend and have found useful, especially for note taking and portability once you are on rotations.
Does anyone recommend any of the 2 in 1 laptop tablet combos like the surface book? Or going MacBook air and iPad pro/air?

My Surface Book 2 has been great. I don't have an iPad so I can't speak to that. I recommend something with a stylus so that you can hand-write and annotate for topics like anatomy, histo, radiology.

You don’t need a tablet. Normal laptop, Mac or windows is fine. Don’t overthink it.
