hi guys, WAnna tap into your experience. what has been your best/worst mcat site in the bay area?
I mean, SJ, SF, Davis, Berkeley,

I'm interested in size of desk, good/.bad exp.

thanks/

I can tell you Berkeley campus has small lecture hall sized tables, and bands playing outside at the April session.

I really liked the masonic center in san francisco. there are a lot of people, but huge desks make up for it. i could spread my arms all the way and not touch anybody. definitely a good test site...

I'm with monkey. Masonic Center was sweet--very comfortable and spacious. The only problem is if you don't live in SF, you have to get up a little earlier on test day. Also, the ladies that proctor the test are really old and slow, so you'll only get out there around 6 or 6:30. Good luck--go party it up in the city when you're done!

Near Berkeley, Merritt College (Oakland) was great. Good temperature, clean room, only two people to each large desk.

Sonoma State University....huge desks, not a lot of people, cafe on campus (open Saturdays), cheap all day parking and lots of it, air conditioning.

i'll second that suggestion about SSU, for all of the listed reasons, and also because the surroundings are relaxing - good for when you're standing there nervous waiting for the exam to start, and also during the lunch break when you need to just take a breather.

I took mine at American River College in Sacramento. It had nice big desks and very comfortable and quiet.

Hayward. We were out by 4 or 4:30 (can't remember exactly). My friends at the Masonic Lodge weren't out until 7!!! 😱 Remember they have to count EVERY test booklet after EVERY block. It was VERY low stress, not many people taking there and great outdoor areas to eat lunch and take in a relaxing view. The only problem I can see is that it's at desks but I was set on tables and ended up not minding the desks much. They are spacious. I've heard that the desks at Berkeley are small and that it is always noisy that weekend (prospective weekend often coincides I think). Good luck!

i took it at American River as well but we had a whole fiasco about not being able to use timers... really sucked 😡 but the test location was decent since there were only 20 to a classroom, so it was quiet plus we could put the desks together for added room

i took mine at monarch hotel in pleasanton. really nice place. huge desks, comfortable atmosphere.
