My medical school is going through a major curriculum reform effort, including revamping the technology used. What are some great/innovative uses of technology out there at other schools? Thanks!!
IN all seriousness...
ONe of the things I got started at my school was the recording of lectures. Many software platforms exist that already do this. We now have one particular software on literally every computer in the building. Grand Rounds have recently been started to be recorded as well in medicine residency. Which I think is cute, because they were all like "WE JSUT GOT THIS GREEEAAAATTTT software" while in the back of my head I was "yeah, I got that 4 years ago, champ."
Anyway, getting professors to click a button to record their slides and voice to one movie file that can then be downloaded, viewed, and
sped up is huge. You will find great resistance at first, then everyone will go crazy for it.
