I just wondering if I could people could respond with what they feel are the best programs to help an individual prepare to take the MCATS. I have heard the Kaplan program is pretty good but before I go and waste my money I wanted to receive some feedback😍

I took a Kaplan course...didn't really go to all the classes but the library is full of great practice exams which I considered to be the most helpful.....also the timed practice exams that they give you are really important b/c by the time the real thing comes along you can "try" to pretend it's just another Sat. at Kaplan. I think it was well worth it....

This is discussed ad nauseum in the MCAT forum and you will probably get more responses there.

However, prep depends on the person. Kaplan and PR give structure to your review. If you need structure, deadlines, invigilation, etc take one of those courses. If you just want the materials go to Ebay or the for sale forum on here. Get a mix of materials, do real practice exams (AAMC) timed, and study for 3-6 months. Your mileage may vary.

To be honest with you...I feel that the Kaplan course only served one purpose...to help me organize myself with the resources they provide. That's about it. The classes didn't do anything for me either. I think it was way to expensive for what it offers. If I were to do it all over again...I would study on my own and take practice tests from other less expensive sources.
However, choose what you think is best for you..this is only my opinion.
Best of luck!

Kaplan is exactly what the above posters claim it is... it is great material, but the classes do nothing for you (that is, if you have a crumby instructor)

You're paying for all the library of stuff that they've got when you take kaplan... that being said, I took kaplan, and I still think that money was well worth it just for the material.
