Just a quick question for GP and other experienced folks: which grossing manual do you feel is the best? I have seen two predominant books out there while doing internet searches:

1) Manual of Surgical Pathology by Lester
2) Surgical Pathology Dissection: An Illustrated Guide by Westra et al.

Please give your opinion regarding these two and any others that you may have found useful in helping you master the fine art of grossing.

Thanks

Lester is my favorite. It is really the one that all the residents here use. I don't even think we have a copy of the second one.

Our department also has a cutting manual that gives instructions on many specimens. Some of the staff like things done special for their research and "just because" hehe.
