Writing an Letter of Interest with some updates is pretty helpful to either get off a waitlist or get an interview.

Why do just one? It's good to let schools know about your fall grades, upcoming spring schedule, and new job updates. Also, go ahead and send them a LOI if you sincerely want to go there above all other schools.

Yeah, I hear you. I'm just curious to know what people think what is strongest bit of updating info you can use. With the season of hopefull interviews and waitlists, just thought it might be good to put all these things in one place and compare them a bit - if possible.:D

If you use up all your methods pre-interview you'll have nothing new to offer when you're waitlisted...but once you're on the WL by all means pull out all the stops.
