  1. Pre-Medical
I was the president of a service-related organization at my school. I have a main activities entry for it under the realm of leadership where I discuss my role as a leader, but I would also like to include an entry for some of the community service I did, such as a setting up toys for tots donation boxes, working with Marines to write holiday cards to children and families, and traveling to local hotels to ask for left over toiletries that my organization could send abroad to communities in Central America lacking access to these simple resources. I could probably list about 30 hours total for these activities, but will it look worthless if I just say "volunteering" with dates across my four years and then just put 30 hours? I'm not sure if it's better to just leave it out. My application is weak in terms of non-clinical volunteering since working kind of had to come first for me, so I would like to be able to add these small things if possible, because they were enjoyable for me.

Better to leave it out or should I include it? If so, how?

Thank you!!

Edit: the organization was geared towards medical service, not just non-clinical volunteering.

You could include this and say that it was episodic "as needed" and, while not face-to-face service to those in need, was an essential part of the services being provided by the organization that you were very involved in and doing the work "on the ground" as well as leading others was important to you.

Makes sense. Thanks for the feedback!
