Hello all, this is my first post. I want to be pro-active. Would it be beneficial to incorporate MCAT preparation while I'm enrolled in the pre-reqs? For example, buy TPR, Kaplan, or Examcrackers and make sure I understand the MCAT topics? Obviously, I'll have access to the instructors if I have questions. Please provide your thoughts?
Is there any correlation of the MCAT to the SAT? I understand the MCAT is knowledge based. I took the SAT as a 8th grader and scored 690 CR, 680 Writing, and 600 mathematics. I retook the test as a junior and scored 800 reading, 780 writing and 790 mathematics. Would my reading score correlate positively with the CARS section of the MCAT? I have always scored in the 99+ percentile on standardized tests but the MCAT is a different animal. Please provide your thoughts?
Thank you!
