Is there anyone who did poorly on the MCAT the first time and then do much better the second time? If so what did you do to prepare for the second time? 😕
not me, but another guy at my school studies from his class notes and aamc and got 30. then he took a review class and got 36. he also studies much harder for the mcat the second time around so the improvement was not necessarily from the class.

Rather than allow you to rely on conjecture and hearsay, why don't you look at this: http://www.aamc.org/students/mcat/examineedata/tables.htm (Yes, a lot of data is missing, such as when these samples were taken, but it gives you the gist and isn't that all you're really looking for?)
It's from the AAMC; it's a statistical analysis of retesters and their scores. It's safe, it's sexy, and it's fun. Enjoy.
Took Kaplan the first time around (and primarily relied on them to teach me stuff) -- 32R. Studied on my own for a summer the second time around -- 37R.
