Better to practice in Red or Blue state?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
If we're only talking about a physician's "practice"(assuming private practice).

For traditional insurance/Medicare fee-for-service: Red

For innovative practice models: Likely Blue

Move to a mixed district state...
Blue states tax the hell out of you

Move to a state where the weather is pleasant, the women are pretty, the food is outstanding, and the music makes you dance.

We all make plenty of money. We can afford nice houses, nice cars, and travel comfortably. Over time, you'll have enough money to tell anybody you want to f$#@ off.

Of course, I want private jet money at some point, so I'm a greedy SOB (just ask 101N if you don't believe me [emoji28])

This pretty much sums up the way liberals view the world.

Most of them probably don't even get the satire. Was surprised snl actually did this although they weren't very generous to hillary during election season

Poor is one thing, sustaining massive debts and claiming to be successful is another. My liberal state is "rich" but close to bankruptcy...

Correct, almost all liberal states/cities have HUGE liabilities for their pension funds and welfare systems. The most underfunded states in terms of pensions include IL, CA and NJ.

Chicago is a total craphole in terms of its finances.

its pretty clear.

better to practice medicine and make more money in a red state. reason: nobody wants to live there. the same reason you can buy a 5000 square foot home in alabama for 300k.

if you want your kids to get a reasonable education, its a no-brainer to live in a blue state.

Chances of hitting a certain bench mark are higher in a red state, though overall ceiling may be higher in blue states.
