Biochem Review book for Step 1?

or is First Aid sufficient?

I'm pretty worthless when it comes to Biochem IMO.

What review books, if any, do you suggest?

Things like anatomy and pathology should be supplemented, but all the key biochem pathways are in FA. Good luck!

Way too long in my opinion. I'd stick with FA.

First aid is what you need to have down ice cold...if you are weak and biochem makes no sense then I WOULD read a more detailed source. Reading stuff in FA that you don't really understand is a disaster....

ONLY use first aid to refresh and memorize

I've heard the general rule that biochem is pretty low-yield as far as Step 1 goes. I only had a handful of questions on biochem and almost all of them could be answered by knowing the pathways in FA. I remember at least one biochem that I had absolutely no idea, but there are bound to be questions like that of all varieties. I mean, they have to make it hard to get a 270 somehow.

Avoid BRS at all costs....there were multiple blatant errors per chapter
