I am happy it is the case at my school. I am a current OMS1 and was just curious if this is uncommon or not, in either osteopathic or allopathic curriculum.

Super common. It's called protected time and it varies from 4 weeks to up to 3 months of time, depending on the school.

Sup fam. Do you know if that review stuff they do is mandatory attendance? I want to blow it off and do my own stuff instead.

EDIT: JK I just found out they make us take a bunch of review courses and we have to pass them before they'll let us sign up for the COMLEX.

It still looks like if you sign up for one of the last dates, you can have ~6 weeks of dedicated which should be plenty.
