Body temperature is controlled by the hypothalamus right? My sources keep saying that but then how come on kaplan bio subject test 3, question 8's explanation is says that the medulla monitors temperature?

Doesn't the medulla/medulla oblongata take care of vital functions (heart rate, breathing, gastrointestinal activity)?

Is kapalns explanation wrong then?
thank you in advance :)
