Boston Apartments (NEMC)

I think I'm gonna need some help finding a place to live in Boston. Anyone out there at NEMC or rotate through in med school? I'd like to live relatively close by, or at least by public transportation. Prefer apt. complex type places to roooms in homes. Places to avoid would be good for me to know as well.

Also seeking advice on Boston area gyms near above housing and/or NEMC. I'm not even sure if they have a gym there.
