So , the coordinator for HCOP summer program at Stanford said that he would tell me what was weak in my application last year. So I call him today hoping we could discuss things.....He asks me if I have my application for this year ready, and of course I said yes,,,, only catch is I DONT and now he wants me to email him my answers to the questions...what am I to do???? SDNERS SAVE ME!!!

I told him that I must have forgotten my HCOP folder at home but said I would email him tomorrow, he said that he would be able to look at it on Thurs.....that is the dead day for me.....SOMEONE HELP!!!!

Hmmm... with that name, anyone can look up his email address at www.stanford.edu and make sure you don't get into this program by showing him this post...

No offense to you, but you're an idiot. First you lie to the coordinator, then you tell everyone about it! You broke rule #1 of getting away with a lie, now ur fuct, as Cerberus so kindly put it.

sigh, its not that I don't have ANY of it done, some of the questions are the same and my answer to those are the same of course, I just havnt had to time to edit the last two questions...sorry I did make it sound like i had none of it done .....is anyone up to editing like two 250 wrd questions?

Why don't you take the time you're spending on this board to write up some honest answers/essays?

the kindness just exudes from sdn doesnt it? 🙄

I agree, lying just isn't the way to go. Neither in being pre-med trying to get into StanfUrd or being a doctor later. I know advisors can be kinda pushy and you'd like to tell them what "you think they wanna hear" but life doesn't work that way. If I were you I'd appologize and say you 'misunderstood', and you only have your original essays, and appologize for slacking on the updates. You might get a slap on the wrist but it's better to have a clear conscience.
My 2cents, take it for what it's worth...

thanks lizzy, yeah I talked to him and he understood why I was a little confused...everything is going to be okay now, he still wants to see something by Thursday though which is totally understandable.

Rather than wasting time posting on SDN...start filling out that application. Either that or admit you're a liar. 🙂

so much love 😍 anyways I am just posting here cause I just got out of my botany test and need to breathe just a little.

Do exactly this. No one is going to make a big deal of this like the people on this message board are. Remember, take what you read here with a grain of salt. At best, it's a highly skewed version of reality.
