Okay, so since I'm travelling extensively for interviews, I'm planning on bringing my laptop with me. I'll be checking out of my hotel(s) the morning of my interview(s) and don't entirely feel comfortable leaving my laptop in the hotel storage (along with my suitcase) for the entire day. So my question is, is it okay to bring a nice messenger bag (with your laptop in it) to your interviews or is this poor form? I figure its probably cool, and some people do bring messenger bags to their interviews, but I thought I'd see what others are planning on bringing to their interviews...

...And yes, I'm a computer geek 🙄

Should be fine. I had a laptop bag that looked like a purse and hid my tiny powerbook in there and nobody even realized I was carrying a laptop with me.

I doubt anyone will care. We send our applicants out to dinner the night prior with our residents. Many check out of their hotel in the AM and come to the interview, some with their suitcase. We store them in our office. If you don't want to carry it around, you should just ask the Prog Admin if they can store it for you. Smile, ask nicely, and all will be well -- remember, we are trying to impress you as much as you are trying to impress us!
