Hi everyone,
I am in the initial stages of a job search in academia. Some recent postings seek applicants with research programs similar to mine, yet they are for tenure-track positions in the non-clinical programs. I have prepared myself best for jobs within a clinical program and would like to supervise clinical work going forward. After having completed internship and a neuro postdoc, it would be a bummer to kind of abandon my clinical training, though my goals are primarily research related. When is it appropriate to bring up the subject of wanting a joint appointment in both non-clinical and clinical programs? Any recommendations on how to do this?
Thanks.
