I've used Kaplan Biochemistry Lecture Notes, and found it to be an excellent resource. Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with the BRS book.

I have experience with the BRS flash cards and they are great. I am currently using RR biochem + the flash cards (10/day) and it seems to be good. I have read kaplan, and I like it because it includes a genetics portion, but the kaplan biochem text was a bit wordy for me.
