hey ya'll--

maybe ppl who have already taken their step 1 or who have already figured out which path review sources to use can help me out. i have been using brs path (2nd Ed) assortedly throughout my second year, but now that i am closing in on board review time, i am interested in fleshing out the brs outline with a beefier review book.

i have goljan stars and do not own rapid review (nor have i really browsed through it). can someone give me the low down between these two review books? [keeping in mind that i will probably end up reading either stars or RR in its entirety since i am also given to pointless medical student obsessiveness]

also, if anyone wants to play devil's advocate by telling me that i would be wasting my time consulting another review source other than brs, your comments are welcome too.

thanks,
JaniceD

Janice, know First Aid's pathology section cold before you go anywhere else. According to a student at Goljan's school, Rapid Review is the same as his notes and STARS. Decide for yourself. I'd suggest doing the entire Robbins Review of Pathology questions. Goljan's good at reviewing, not helping you learn the basics. In order to maximize what Goljan teaches, it's all about repetition.
