Hello SDNers,
I am thinking of applying to the BU MAMS this coming year (2013) and hoping to matriculate in August and was wondering if any one of you, who had experience with the program can answer me a few questions.
1) Are there any research or work opportunities provided on campus or around? I know they do not advise that you work while you are in the program, but considering that i am going to pay an arm and a leg...it would help me to find out ways to make money that involve research or clinical hours if any at all.
2) If one chooses to do the MPH program, do they pay a complete separate tuition from the MAMS tuition?
3) And is it do-able or is it just adding stress and destroying your GPA which might not even be helpful to your application...so, is it possible to get a decent GPA on both programs?
4) How much does it generally cost for the entire two years? Estimate of living costs included...how much did ya'll spend for the two years.
I already have 41 k of undergrad loans, i'm assuming BU MAMS will add at least 80 k and Medical School about 200 k....
Lord Jesus...so, I'd like to know before I spend money that I do not have.
I'd appreciate any advice ya'll can give me...Thank you in advance.
