What do you guys think is a stronger program overall? A lot of people have mixed reviews. I think I may be interested in some pediatric specialty, and I have no interest whatsoever in research.

I know that one attractive thing about Buffalo is that they are only in lecture until about 12pm every day. Does this mean they have to do more work on their own though? I also know that a hospital affiliated with Upstate is opening a new children's hospital and I liked their facilities. I think reputation wise they are about equal, right? I have family in both cities and I am a NYS resident, so the prices are about equal. ANY advice would be greatly appreciated...

I think with the opening of the regional children?s hospital in Syracuse (part of university hospital), Upstate will have a better reputation in pediatrics. (more so after it's open). From what I understand children's hospital in Buffalo is not directly affiliated with UB and is experiencing financial problems. If you don't want peds it probably doesn't matter so much.
