my application was recentley put in the intermediate pool. anyone been in the intermediate pool that has recieved an interview and if so how long after being placed in the pool were u invited for an interview. thanks

this seems to be a hot topic at the moment on these boards. i've been in the intermediate pool for quite some time now and i'm wondering the same thing. i've looked through past years' threads and it sounds, unfortunately, like chances of getting an interview after being an intermediate are extremely slim. but, i'm not giving up hope. i heard the same thing about suny upstate, and i recently received an interview invitation from them after being on hold for a few months.
i've heard that mr rosso - the admissions coordinator (?) - at buffalo is very helpful. you might want to contact him and ask about the intermediate pool. best of luck.

YO --- I actually spoke with someone over there. They said that the intermediate pool is already ranked and they will only dip into it if they need more people later in the interview season. He sais some years they pull intermediates and some years they don't. I asked if theres anything I can do to improve my chances and the guy said "you can pray." He also said not to bother sending anything in because its not gonna help your ranking on the intermediate list and they may never pull anyone from that list anyway. SO sounds like praying is probably the best option at this point.
