Technology Buying unlocked Treo 650

I was vondering if someone has had any experience with an unlocked Treo 650. I used to own a 600 model through T-mobile and loved it, but I had to exchange it 3 times because the thing kept braking. Unfortunately, T-mobile does not carry 650 and I am considering getting it through Palm or some other place. I am concerned, however, with possible warranty issues (much easier to exchange through mobile carrier). Any thoughts?
