Is the 2002 Philips BV Pulsera a good model for interventional pain - esi's, mbb's, etc? Or does the unit need to be a 2005 or newer?

Depends....I have a 2003 and it is a lemon. I have spent far more in outlays for parts not covered by service contracts than I paid for the entire machine (purchased used). I would suggest a much newer machine or non-Philips.

2008 no problems. Bought new. Not cheap

I ran my 2009 Pulsera 2 days a week for about two years with never a major problem, maybe 2 minor problems which philips took care of promptly.

I'm back to using 9800s again and they are no where near as nice as the Pulsera on any level with the exception of having a smaller beam generator. The one on the Pulsera is big.
