C in Organic Chem?

Hi

How much would admission coms look down on a C in Organic I? This is assuming a 3.7 overall GPA, a semester internship with a D.O. and several years volunteer experience (Special Olympics and ER). Oh and I'm a non-trad applying to D.O only.

Oh!..Jeez! A C?! You're done! Kiss med school good bye! No..seriously, what do you think?! One C will not kill you, especially with a 3.7 GPA!!!! It really wasn't necessary to give us your resume. Just make sure you know what the hell is going on 'cause second semester will bite you in the ass if you don't know the stuff from Org I!! You need to do well in second semester to prove your C was a fluke or whatever you wanna call it. Does this answer satisfy you?

I had 4 Cs (2 math, 2 zoology), 3 Ws (2 organic chem, 1 biochem), a 3.3 GPA, and a 3.0 science GPA. I just got accepted to KCOM. You're fine.

My app. to LECOM was completed on 10/23 and I just got an invite today..

My mcat 25 (best combined) B-9 P-9 V-7 ws-Q

GPA 3.45 overall Sci. 3.15

graduated in 1998

8 years exp in med. field.. EMT/Pharmacy/Nursing (pre-clinical)

so far I have heard from 5 schools and all have been interviews....

So don't give up hope.... Your still in there..
