Hi,

I'm currently going to an out-of-state undergraduate school. My experience is that my friends from California don't end up getting accepted to California Med schools. Any of you have similar experiences, or were accepted? GPA/MCAT.

just curious, what school in what state? and what are you studying?

In terms of admissions to a UC school, California residents are given priority. As long as a person qualifies as a resident, it does not matter where he/she went for undergrad. I can tell you at UCSF there are a number of individuals in my class who are California residents, but went to college out of state.

It's going to be super-tough, but not any tougher than if you had gone to undergrad here.
