Hello,

Is there a particular way to calculate GPA for dental school?

I remember a thread on this or something. I couldn't find it though. What is the method to go about doing the calculation?

doctorsaab,
it is in the guidelines set forth by aadsas. there is a pdf file that you can download from the website. an A is 4.00 an A- is 3.67 etc. when I got my final form from aadsas, i was plesantly suprised to see a 3.4 when i thought my GPA was actually around a 3.25. but look at the download and that should help.

Some schools, like mine don't give a (+) or (-) grade out. They just give a regular grade. Does that matter?

my school gives out number grades (i.e. 3.4, 3.6, etc), so redefining the A-. B+. etc doesn't up mine at all 😛

so basically if an A- is a 3.67, and a B+ is a 3.33, because + means you add .33 and - means you subtract . 33? cuz the adsaas pdf file doesn't mention any +/- in how they calculate their gpa....

i'm confused...

You should write down that your gpa was 4.0 ... That was the best number to use I have heard (last year at least😕 ) am not sure if it iis stll that way, but I dont thnk it changed....

A+ = 4.333? LOL

well no, with the exception that an A+ is still a 4.
other than that, for B+, C+, ...you add a 0.33, no?
you guys, is this the case or not??
😕

A+ is really a 4.33!!!
I got a couple which helps out my C and D...

ecdoesit is right. A+ is indeed a 4.33 according to AADSAS. It's weird, but it's right.
