I suggest you contact the dental board , have them send you the application and some information about the assignments. Then you can start from there.
You could take a clinical exam preparation course .Then you can get a compressor and practice at home on the typodont .

California now takes the WREB so if u have passed ur RT exam, the WREB woul be the best option.
