California Residency From Sackler?

Hi I am a Califonia resident and im interested in attending Sackle. I am also interested in returning back to Califonia for residency in Internal Medicine.

I can see that most people end up in NY. I also know that the students only spend 5-6 months in the states.

Is this long enough to form solid connections in California and to get myself known.

If someone can please advise me if this is a realistic bet that would be great.

Just to let you know im thinking of doint Internal Medicine. Not interested in those Competative specialties.

Cedars-Sinai Med. Ctr. - Internal Medicine
Cedars-Sinai - psychiatry
VA Greater LA Health Systems, UCLA/WLA - Internal medicine
Childrens Hospital- LA - pediatrics
St. Mary's M.C. - Long Beach, CA Internal medicine
Alameda Co. M.C. - Internal Medicine

Thats just looking at the past few years.
Sackler is fairly known in both Cali and NY, but have matched in many states.
