I've been reading through the previous threads on IRTA interns, but haven't heard much from the IRTA postbacs in Baltimore. I recently got offered a position at NIDA and I'm wondering what all your experiences have been.
Specifically, what is the IRTA community like in Baltimore? I'm sure it's nothing compared to that of the NIH campus, but i'm curious how many interns are around and what the general consensus is.
I know there have been plenty of discussion on Baltimore, but for those of you who were IRTA interns there, what did you think of the city?
Lastly, I have read about IRTA interns getting to take free classes at NIH--- do labs ever pay for students in Baltimore to take classes at Hopkins, etc?
