i noticed that a few of us got accepted in the last 48 hours so i thought to myself why not start a thread for the class of 2010. after all, everybody else is doing it so why can't we?

fellow brookies,
perhaps we can set up a last-summer-of-fun get together before d-school starts. i have a couple of big ideas in mind.

on a seperate note, none of you (the ones who got accepted in the last 2 days) is on predents.com. not good. please create and update your profile. dont worry; it's not like people are gonna see your profile, envy you and then you wake up the next morning with a brain tumor. 😉 😉

congrats for all the brookies, especially those of us who truly wanted Stony Brook more than anything 😀 😀 else. 👍 👍 👍 👍

lol...actually, 4 people got accepted over the last 2-3 days. hopefully, they'll respond to this call. believe it or not mich, there 2 out of those 4 who are not sure they wanna attend....lol

there is another SDNer though who wants Stony so badly and he deserves it too. let's hope he gets the Cinotti Call. he's my favorite SDNer. 😀 😀

Hey i have a question for anyone intrested to comment.....I currently have 3.94 gpa and a 3.92 scigpa after 2 full years of college completing Orgo, Genchem, And 2 years of biology (im registered for physics,biochem, and stats next semester). I have one full year of college transferd over from AP credits including a year of calculus. This will allow me to graduate in 3 year with a B.S. degree. I am going to apply for stony this next application cycle and i want to know what my chances are of getting accepted....will they look down on me for applying with only two years of college?!

absolutly not! you have taken most of the prereqs and did well at them. your GPA is nice too. and while your application is being reviewed by the ADCOMS, you can let them know that you are taking physics and biochem. you will be just fine provided that you are an early nys resident applicant and that your DAT AA is good. aim at 21+ to maximize your chances. you do not need to make a fuss out of it before you inTview. however, when you show up for the inTview, hand the admissions officer (there is only one) your updated transcript or bursar's office bill that proves you are currently taking these courses.

you will be just fine. if you really want Stony Brook, then you'll get it. you have made a great decision by considering Stony Brook. however, keep in mind that they usually accept those who show great interest in attending.

Wow, I really hope I get to join this thread officially. I was interviewed there in early Jan and am still waiting every day for that phone call. It's the only school I want to attend and im crossing my fingers and toes over here. Just out of curiosity, those of you that were accepted recently, when were you interviewed? Just so I have an idea of how far backed up they are in accepting people that were interviewed. Thanks all, hope I get to see you soon.
